Co-founder, partner, architectural bureau 'Wowhaus', Russia
Candidate for a doctorate in architecture. In 2007, together with Dmitry Likin, founded the architectural bureau Wowhaus. Taking its mission to be harmonization of the urban setting, Wowhaus plays an active part in transforming public spaces in Russia today. Its best-known projects include Krymskaya Embankment, Gorky Park and the Urban Farm at VDNKh in Moscow, the Innovative Cultural Centre in Kaluga, and the Black Lake Park in Kazan.
Oleg Shapiro is also a co-author of the educational programme at the MARCH architecture school. In 2011-2016, he was a Member of the Board of Trustees and the admissions committee of Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture, and Design. He regularly gives lectures and seminars in Moscow and other Russian cities.
