In 2015-2017, Digby White was the executive director of the World Urban Parks Association, an international representative body for the urban parks, open space and recreation sector. Together with the board of directors, he led the establishment, development, and operation of the Association. One of his main goals was to establish a dialogue and provide a collective voice for people and organisations leading urban parks, green city, conservation, recreation, sport, health and related outcomes to build healthy, liveable, and sustainable communities.
In 2018, Digby White joined the team of BALONNE SHIRE COUNCIL, the Queensland Region Development Agency (Australia), in the role of the Director of Community and Environmental Sustainability. His responsibilities include the provision of town planning and development, community development, libraries, arts, events, tourism, environmental health, waste management, bio-security, local law compliance, and rural services to improve the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the Queensland region, which territory is comparable to the area of Belgium.
